3 Belgian medals at the European Cable Wakeboard/Wakeskate Youth & Masters Championships

Last week, the European Cable Wakeboard (Youth & Masters) Championships took place in Gyor, Hungary. 10 Belgian riders participated, along with team trainer Arno Dhondt and assistant coach Wouter Gijzen. The level of competition was incredibly high, with some impressive wakeboarding skills on display. Congratulations to Team Belgium, you should be extremely proud of yourselves!

In the finals, Lowa Vancutsem (The Spin), Louis Eggerickx (Lakeside Paradise Knokke-Heist), Glenn Vandenberghe (Lakeside Paradise Knokke-Heist), and Victoria Vander Veken (Wake-Up Cable Antwerp) competed against other teams. In the wakeboard junior ladies U18 category, Lowa finished fifth. Louis fell during his run in the wakeboard junior men U18 category and also placed fifth. However, he managed to secure the bronze medal in the wakeskate junior men U18 category! Glenn Vandenberghe also made it onto the podium, finishing second in the wakeboard masters men 30+ category. Victoria also achieved a podium finish in her first ever European Championship, coming in third in the wakeboard junior ladies U14 category.

We would like to congratulate all of our riders on their performances. Once again, they have shown what incredible wakeboarding talent we have in our country!

We are excited to see what the future holds for these young riders!
